Cristina Lemorini sviluppa ricerche archeologiche in ambito Prestorico e Storico indirizzate allo studio e alla ricostruzione delle capacità tecnologiche e funzionali e di specializzazione artigianale dei gruppi umani antichi. Tali ricerche si basano sull’applicazione a manufatti litici, ceramici, metallici, ossei ecc delle analisi delle tracce tecnologiche e d’uso e dei residui integrate con l’archeologia sperimentale. Tali analisi si effettuano presso il laboratorio LTFAPA, Dipartimento di Scienze dell’Antichità Università Sapienza di Roma.
Tra i progetti di ricerca promossi dal laboratorio si annoverano studi tecnologici e funzionali di fusi, fuseruole e pesi da tealio di ambito preistorico e storico.

LABORATORI
Il laboratorio LTFAPA (Laboratory for the Analysis of Prehistoric Artefacts) https://www.ltfapa.it/ è specializzato nell’analisi delle tracce tecnologiche e funzionali e nell’analisi dei residui d’uso individuabili sui manufatti archeologici. Il Laboratorio, inizialmente indirizzato allo studio di contesti preistorici ha via via ampliato gli ambiti di applicazione a contesti classici e post-classici. Il laboratorio è dotato di microscopi ottici, a scansione, digitali e confocale con cui si documentano qualitativamente e quantitativamente tracce e residui. Grazie a un finanziamento PNRR (Changes Spoke 5 WP6) il laboratorio si sta specializzando anche nella applicazione della micro-fotogrammetria per documentare tracce tecnologiche e d’uso sia sul campo che in laboratorio. Il laboratorio offre una ricca gamma di prestazioni conto terzi.

SCIENTIFIC PROFILE
Cristina Lemorini conducts archaeological research in the fields of Prehistoric and Historical studies focused on the analysis and reconstruction of the technological and functional capabilities, as well as the craft specialization of ancient human groups. These studies are based on the application of technological and use trace analyses, as well as residue analysis, on lithic, ceramic, metal, bone, and other artifacts, integrated with experimental archaeology. Such analyses are carried out at the LTFAPA laboratory, Department of Ancient Sciences, University of Sapienza, Rome.
Among the research projects promoted by the laboratory are technological and functional studies of spindles, spindle whorls, and loom weights from both prehistoric and historical contexts.

LABORATORIES
The LTFAPA Laboratory (Laboratory for the Analysis of Prehistoric Artefacts) [https://www.ltfapa.it/] specializes in the analysis of technological and functional traces, as well as the analysis of use residues detectable on archaeological artifacts. Initially focused on the study of prehistoric contexts, the laboratory has gradually expanded its scope of application to include classical and post-classical contexts. The laboratory is equipped with optical, scanning, digital, and confocal microscopes, which are used to qualitatively and quantitatively document traces and residues. Thanks to a PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) funding (Changes Spoke 5 WP6), the laboratory is also specializing in the application of micro-photogrammetry to document technological and use traces both in the field and in the laboratory. The laboratory offers a wide range of third-party services.
