Consonni Ana

Laureata in Egittologia presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano e specializzata nella stessa Università in Preistoria e Protostoria, ha conseguito il dottorato in Egittologia presso l’Università di Pisa. Ha partecipato a numerosi scavi preistorici e protostorici in Italia, sia da libero professionista che in collaborazione con Università e Istituti di Ricerca e si è occupata di didattica museale.

Ha collaborato, dal 2003 ad oggi, con diverse missioni archeologiche in Egitto: la missione archeologica italiana sull’area del Tempio di Milioni di Anni di Amenhotep II a Luxor, diretta dal dott. Angelo Sesana; la missione dell’Università di Pisa presso le tombe TT14-MIDAN05 a Dra’ Abu el-Naga, sotto la direzione della prof.ssa Marilina Betrò; la Missione franco-egiziana sull’area del Tempio di Milioni di Anni di Ramesse II-Ramesseum, sotto la Direzione del dott. Christian Leblanc.

Dal 2018 al 2020 ha prestato servizio come Funzionario archeologo presso il Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Taranto, dove, oltre ad essere Curatore delle sezioni del Museo dedicate alla Preistoria-Protostoria e alla cultura indigena, è stata responsabile dell’Area Operativa “Educazione e Ricerca, Servizi al Pubblico” e dei Servizi Educativi.

Da gennaio 2021 è in servizio presso il Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze, come Curatore della Sezione “Museo Egizio” e coordinatore dell’Ufficio mostre.

PROGETTI DI RICERCA PRINCIPALI

Principali aree di interesse di ricerca in ambito egittologico sono la cultura materiale, i corredi funerari, l’evoluzione del paesaggio funerario e la metodologia della ricerca. Tra i progetti in corso nel quadro delle ricerche che sta svolgendo presso gli annessi economici nord del Tempio di Milioni di Anni di Ramesse II-Ramesseum: studio della ceramica proveniente dai contesti di scavo; analisi dell’evoluzione della necropoli dal Medio Regno al Terzo Periodo Intermedio presente sull’area.
Nell’ambito delle attività di curatela della collezione egizia del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze, si occupa di progetti di studio e ricontestualizzazione dei materiali acquisiti dal Museo nel corso della sua storia, con particolare riguardo alle ricerche nei siti di Akhmim ed el-Hibeh.

SCIENTIFIC PROFILE

Graduated in Egyptology at the University of Milan and specialized in Prehistory and Protohistory at the same University, she defended her PhD in Egyptology at the University of Pisa. She has participated in numerous prehistoric and protohistoric excavations in Italy, both as a freelancer and in collaboration with Universities and Research institutes and has been involved in museum teaching.

She has collaborated, from 2003 to today, with various archaeological missions in Egypt: the Italian archaeological mission in the area of ​​the Temple of Millions of Years of Amenhotep II in Luxor, directed by Dr. Angelo Sesana; the mission of the University of Pisa at the TT14-MIDAN05 tombs in Dra’ Abu el-Naga, under the direction of Prof. Marilina Betrò; the Franco-Egyptian Mission on the area of ​​the Temple of Millions of Years of Ramesses II-Ramesseum, under the direction of Dr. Christian Leblanc.

From 2018 to 2020 she was Archaeologist at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, where, in addition to being Curator of the sections of the Museum dedicated to Prehistory-Protohistory and indigenous culture, she was responsible for the Area “Education and Research, Services to Public”.

Since January 2021 she has been in service at the National Archaeological Museum of Florence, as Archaeologist and Curator of the “Egyptian Museum” Section and coordinator of the Exhibitions Office.

MAIN RESEARCH PROJECTS

Main areas of Egypotological research interest are material culture, funerary objects, the evolution of the funerary landscape and the methodology of research.
In the framework of the ongoing research at the Northern Economic Annexes of the Ramesseum: study of the pottery from excavation contexts; analysis of the evolution of the necropolis from the Middle Kingdom to the Third Intermediate Period on the area.
Among the various curatorial activities on the Egyptian collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Florence, she is involved in study projects and re-contextualization of materials acquired by the Museum during its history, with particular regard to research on the sites of Akhmim and el-Hibeh.
