PROFILO SCIENTIFICO / Italiano
Lorenzo Verderame è professore associato in assiriologia presso il dipartimento SARAS, è coordinatore del curriculum orientale del dottorato in Filologia e storia del mondo antico e insegna lingua sumerica, Accadico avanzato ed eblaita, Letterature dell’antica Mesopotamia e Introduzione alle culture dell’antica Mesopotamia.
È autore di una decina di monografie e oltre un centinaio di articoli sui documenti amministrativi della Mesopotamia del III millennio, sulla cultura materiale e i diversi aspetti della religione e della letteratura così come sulla storia degli studi.
È epigrafista della missione archeologica italiana della Sapienza a Nina/Niĝin (Tell Surghul, Iraq) e a Ebla (Tell Mardikh, Siria).
È membro del comitato editoriale della Rivista degli Studi Orientali, SMSR – Studi e Materiali di Storia delle Religioni, Akkadica, Claroscuro, Archivi delle emozioni, Ash-sharq, oltre che della serie Nisaba (DiCAM, Messina). È il direttore della serie Studi Semitici (Sapienza Università di Roma) e wEdge – Cutting-Edge Research in Cuneiform Studies (Zaphon, Münster).

SCIENTIFIC PROFILE
Lorenzo Verderame is an associate professor in Assyriology at the SARAS department, he is the coordinator of the Oriental curriculum of the PhD school in Philology and History of the Ancient World and teaches Sumerian language, Advanced Akkadian and Eblaite, Ancient Mesopotamian Literatures and Introduction to Ancient Mesopotamian Cultures. He is the author of a dozen monographs and over a hundred articles on the administrative documents of 3rd millennium Mesopotamia, material culture and various aspects of religion and literature as well as the history of studies. He is the epigrapher for the Italian archaeological mission of Sapienza at Nina/Niĝin (Tell Surghul, Iraq) and at Ebla (Tell Mardikh, Syria). He is a member of the editorial board of the Rivista degli Studi Orientali, SMSR – Studi e Materiali di Storia delle Religioni, Akkadica, Claroscuro, Archivi delle emozioni, Ash-sharq, as well as the Nisaba series (DiCAM, Messina).
